💳 Stripe Payments – Information & Terms

🔒 Secure Processing with Stripe

All payments on our platform are securely processed via Stripe, a PCI Level 1 Service Provider — the highest level of certification available in the payments industry. Your card details are encrypted and never stored on our servers.

📌 Key Terms for Guests

Service Fee: A 20% guest service fee is applied to all bookings. This covers platform access, support, and secure payment processing.
Payment Method: We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.).
Full Payment at Checkout: Your card will be charged in full when you complete the booking.
Refunds: Any refunds (e.g. due to cancellations) will be processed back to your original payment method via Stripe within 5–10 business days, subject to our cancellation policy.
Disputes: Stripe provides a dispute resolution system. In the rare event of a chargeback, we’ll work with Stripe and provide supporting evidence.

💼 Key Terms for Hosts

Payouts: Payouts are typically made 30 days after guest checkout, allowing time to handle cancellations or disputes. Funds are sent to your linked bank account via Stripe.
Stripe Account: Hosts are required to connect a Stripe account to receive payouts. This may involve identity and bank verification to comply with financial regulations (KYC).
Deductions: From each booking, a 4% accommodation tax (if applicable) and platform service fee are deducted before payout.
Payment Protection: Stripe’s fraud prevention tools and platform-level dispute management ensure your income is protected.

🔁 Subscriptions or Add-Ons (If Applicable)

Any recurring payments or add-ons are billed securely through Stripe.
You can manage your subscription at any time via your account settings.
Cancellation will stop future billing, but does not automatically trigger a refund.

⚖️ Compliance & Regulation

Stripe is fully compliant with GDPR, PSD2, and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) requirements.
We do not store any card data on our systems.
All payment data is handled securely by Stripe’s infrastructure.
