1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the ChargeNStay platform as a registered Host. By listing a property, service, or amenity, you agree to abide by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable UK laws.
2. Eligibility
To be a Host on ChargeNStay, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Have the legal authority to list and operate the property
- Maintain all amenities, especially EV and eBike charging points, in safe and working condition
3. Host Obligations
As a Host, you agree to:
- Provide accurate property details and availability
- Clearly list all amenities, including type of EV/eBike chargers
- Keep your listing up to date
- Honour all confirmed bookings
- Maintain guest safety and comfort throughout the stay
4. Accommodation Tax & Service Fees
- Accommodation Tax: A 4% accommodation tax is applied to all bookings, collected from guests and remitted in accordance with local tax obligations.
- Service Fees: ChargeNStay charges a variable platform service fee (included in the guest total), which is deducted before Host payout.
- Payment Processing: All payments are securely handled by Stripe, offering full transaction encryption and protection for both Hosts and Guests.
5. Payouts
- Host payouts are issued 30 days after guest check-in to allow time for dispute resolution, chargebacks, or complaints.
- Payouts are processed via Stripe to the Host’s nominated and verified bank account.
- Any additional fees (cleaning, pet, deposits) must be clearly disclosed in the listing to avoid disputes.
- Hosts must ensure their Stripe account remains active and compliant with Stripe’s verification policies.
6. Cancellations
- Hosts must choose a cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, Strict) when creating their listing.
- In the event of a Host cancellation, the guest will receive a full refund and the Host may face visibility penalties or suspension.
- Repeated cancellations may lead to deactivation of the Host account.
7. Insurance & Liability
- Hosts are strongly encouraged to maintain valid home insurance and public liability coverage.
- You are responsible for the legal and safe installation and operation of any EV or eBike charging equipment.
- ChargeNStay disclaims all liability for accidents, losses, or damages occurring on the Host’s property.
8. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
All Hosts must adhere to applicable:
- Local council permissions or licensing laws
- Fire, electrical, and accessibility safety regulations
- EV/eBike charging point standards (e.g., RCD protection)
- UK consumer and hospitality laws
9. Reviews and Guest Feedback
- Guests may submit honest reviews of their stay. These are publicly displayed unless they breach platform rules.
- Hosts can respond publicly to reviews but must not offer incentives in exchange for positive feedback or attempt to suppress valid criticism.
10. Account Suspension or Termination
ChargeNStay may suspend or terminate a Host account if:
- Listings are found to be inaccurate, unsafe, or in breach of regulations
- Multiple unresolved guest complaints are received
- The Host violates these Terms or fails to act in good faith
11. Modifications to These Terms
ChargeNStay reserves the right to update these Terms. Hosts will be notified of changes through the dashboard or email. Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the UK courts.
